Online ADR 1.3 awareness training in Norwegian. Two modules on dangerous goods transport, with a 70% pass mark and certificate after completion.
Description
ADR Awareness 1.3 Norwegian is an online training course for employees whose work relates to the road transport of dangerous goods. The course is offered in Norwegian and introduces the knowledge needed to recognise transport hazards, understand assigned responsibilities and follow relevant safety requirements.
Under ADR Chapter 1.3, personnel involved in the carriage of dangerous goods must receive training appropriate to their responsibilities and duties. Training needs depend on the activities performed; an online awareness course is one way of supporting an employer’s documented training programme.
What does the ADR Awareness 1.3 Norwegian course cover?
The e-learning focuses on the transport of dangerous goods by road and provides an introduction to important ADR provisions. Subjects include classification, transport labels, packaging, responsibilities in the transport chain and the ADR 1.1.3.6 transport-category exemption often referred to as the 1,000-point rule.
- Recognising dangerous goods and understanding basic classification.
- Packages, labels and markings used in road transport.
- Typical responsibilities of consignors, consignees, packers, fillers, loaders and unloaders.
- Basic documentation and checks in the shipping process.
- Understanding the scope and limitations of the 1,000-point rule.
Two-module online learning programme
Module 1: ADR and the functions and responsibilities of participants in the transport chain.
Module 2: Labels, packaging, dispatch and other practical tasks related to dangerous goods.
Employees can work through the material online and study at their own pace. There is no stated prerequisite for this introductory course. The course may be completed in a few hours, depending on the participant’s familiarity with the subject and learning pace.
Who is this training for?
ADR Awareness 1.3 Norwegian is intended for personnel carrying out relevant dangerous-goods tasks, including people working in dispatch, receiving, packing, filling, loading and unloading. Employers should consider whether additional function-specific training, safety instruction or practical training is needed for an individual role.
Important for drivers: This course is not a substitute for the ADR driver training certificate where that certificate is required. The need for a driver’s certificate depends on the applicable ADR provisions and exemptions, not solely on a simple points threshold.
Assessment, certificate and course language
The course ends with an online test. A score of at least 70% correct answers is required to pass. Successful participants can download or print an ADR Awareness certificate. The certificate can help document completed training; it does not itself establish that every role-specific legal training requirement has been met.
Language of the course: Norwegian.
How do you receive access?
After ordering and payment, access details are provided by email within 24 hours on weekdays. For several participants, enter their names and email addresses in the order memo field. Where a group account is created, the administrator can track course progress through the online dashboard.
Additional dangerous-goods training
For employees who also work with hazardous substances in warehouses or industrial workplaces, consider the Gefahrgut Basiskurs. This is a separate course with a different emphasis; choose training according to the employee’s actual duties.
